MOTHERS DAY AND A LOOK AT THE NEWS

Another Mothers day passes in the Lord household without a surviving female member to buy a card or present for, with all the mums or wives gone to a higher plain [if you believe in that sort of stuff], guess we will have to carry on in this testosterone fuelled environment, with Dad and Lad in our house and the last surviving Grandad in his home with the Fairies in his head for company a few streets away.

Anyway enough with the morbid facts of reality, I watched the news today, and just when you thought it was safe to go outside a new threat to our personal safety has reared it’s head.

What is it? I hear you asking in anticipation,
 Well let me tell you folks, as unbelievable as it may seem, it is 100 year old grannies falling out of the sky, yes you heard it right, apparently a 100 year old lady has done a skydive,
Now forgive me if I’m a little apprehensive in endorsing this type of behaviour but if all geriatrics went around behaving in this manner then the danger to the public could become a major issue I.E false teeth, colostomy bags and zimmer frames becoming detached from their owners mid-flight and injuring an innocent bystander on the ground.
Also there is the issue of showing the young of society a good example and not displaying a total disregard for health and safety, personally I give her a thumbs up on the bottle to do it front, but I am not sure her relatives and descendants share my feelings.
