THE EASIEST WAY TO SPEED UP WINDOWS10

A WINDOWS 10 EASY STEP BY STEP GUIDE

Since installing your shiny new Windows 10 operating system,  you may have noticed how slow it is to type a search in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome, in fact your whole machine seems slower than your previous operating system
Let me tell you of a really easy fix I discovered, that anyone can do it is both safe does not harm your pc in any way, and can be done in minutes even by the most non technical person. It involves no hacks, no trips to the registry and is as basically just selecting a windows setting.
First let me explain what happened to my computer and probably yours
when upgrading from a previous windows operating system In my case Windows 7 Professional, Windows 10 installed on my pc but one of the power options was set to power saving, which meant the computer was not getting enough juice to function properly, the answer to putting this right was just to tell windows 10 the best way to handle the power needed and not letting it choose to under power my machine,
Read on and I will explain in a few simple steps what to do to get the speed back.

STEP 1

Click on the Blue start button, on the bottom left of your screen

STEP 2

Again on the bottom left, click on the settings option

STEP 3

Choose the system Icon

STEP 4

On the left hand side, click on the power and sleep option

STEP 5

In the centre panel find and click on the additional power settings words

STEP 6

In this section, If the power saver circle is filled in black, then your pc is running on reduced power, to remedy this we must select the high performance circle, on the same page.

If this is not on show then press on show additional plans and It should be there for you to click on.

STEP 7

When done close all the open windows using the top right X on each one.

Step 8

Go and grab yourself a brew.

If your PC was set up like mine and you did all this, you should see a big improvement.
