ISN’T THE INTERNET AMAZING

I was round the back of my house yesterday, Doing bit’s and pieces, and noticed the stone step at the back was looking a bit sorry for itself.

We don’t have a problem at the front because we have a UPVC front door and frame, which has the added advantage of a built in audible temperature indicator, I.E when the weather changes the frame creeks.

Anyway back to the job in hand, I seemed to remember my Old Mum telling me that in day’s gone by, one of the regular household chores was to scrub a doorstep with something called a Donkey stone.

I pondered on this, and couldn’t for the life of me think where I could purchase one of these things from.

A Lightbulb in my head began to glow brightly, Ah yes, lets look it up on the internet so I did.

Now I don’t know if you are aware of it, but you can put key words instead of full sentences into a search bar and it can get a more precise result so I typed my search,

‘Donkey Backdoor’

Well you wouldn’t believe the results it threw at’ me, things I thought would be impossible to do, and it didn’t look much fun for the Donkey either,

I can tell you it has put me off doing any DIY for a while.
